The event featured presentations by Dr. Henrique Nascimento, who addressed the topic “Dry Eye,” and by Gonçalo Marques, who explored “The Ocular Surface: From Clinical Practice to Comfort with Contact Lenses.” Ricardo Baptista highlighted “Scleral Contact Lenses – Possible Contraindications,” while Leandro Pereira presented “The Pentacam Family in the Modern Contact Lens Practice.”
Other equally relevant topics were addressed by Clara Pérez, who spoke on “Myopia Control”; by Rafael Clérigo, who discussed “Orthokeratology for Presbyopia”; and by Carlos Tavares, who led a hands-on session on “Scleral Lenses: Clinical Cases.”
The event featured lectures, workshops, discussions of clinical cases, and Q&A sessions, fostering a genuine exchange of experiences among the attendees.
In addition to its commitment to training and innovation, the Open Day underscored Optocentro’s social responsibility by donating a portion of the registration fees to the KASTELO Association—Pediatric Long-Term and Palliative Care Unit.
