“Nothing stops you from seeing” is Optocentro’s latest campaign for World Sight Day on October 14, joining the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB)’s #LoveYourEyes movement.
In its new global campaign—#LoveYourEyes—the IAPB urges us to focus on our eyes and eye health.
“Most people on the planet will experience an eye health problem at some point in their lives. More than a billion people worldwide will not have access to eye care services,” said Peter Holland, CEO of the IAPB, in a press release.
“This is a global problem, but it starts with us. On World Sight Day, October 14, we urge everyone who can to schedule an eye test, exam, or screening to check on the health of their eyes. We ask that you contribute your test results as part of our initiative. Every contribution counts.” – Peter Holland
And they all really do count.
Join this initiative and make a commitment. Get involved in World Sight Day, promise to get an eye exam or take care of your eyes, and share the hashtag #LoveYourEyes on social media.
The IAPB aims to conduct more than 1 million eye exams by World Sight Day. This is a global challenge of great importance for the prevention of vision problems and the improvement of quality of life. Good eye health is a universal right and contributes to equity and inclusion in society.
Nothing is stopping you from seeing what's going on in the world.
