2nd Neighborhood Initiative in Jamaika

Vision in the Jamaika Neighborhood – A project by Mandy Moodley, in partnership with Optocentro, Essilor, and Luxottica.

“Another successful initiative—once again, together, we made a difference!” – Margarida Barata, Essilor

May 13 was another exceptional day. Optocentro participated in the 2nd VisionScreening Event in the Jamaika neighborhood. Of the 34 screenings we conducted, 27 people received the donated eyeglasses.

“The satisfaction we all feel from the results outweighs all the current difficulties and obstacles.” – Rui Motty, Optocentro

It was a Friday marked by sharing and cooperation. Eye health cannot be made dependent on social and financial stability. We have a duty to always do our part by supporting those in need of assistance in this area.

Our Wonderful Team is made up of a wide range of incredible people.

Margarida Barata, Fernando Trabuco, Davide Martins, and Ângelo José from Essilor; Mário Alves, Viviane Rippi, Cláudia Vieira, Sara Alves, Mariana Martins, and Luísa Queirós from Luxottica; Mandy Moodley, who is leading the initiative; Rui Motty, Pedro Durão, Nuno Rama, and Inês Motty from Optocentro.
